1) planting a church in Butler, WA
Our main focus over 2021 was to cultivate a new church community in the Butler region in the northern extremities of Perth, Western Australia. This region, the fastest growing area in the State (and 5th-fastest in Australia) is set to double from 100k to 200k people in the next 20 years – and yet there are only about 16 churches of various persuasions in the area.
So we were delighted to work with a faithful group of northerners to plant a church there, and through prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit, a small but joyful church was planted in June: New City Presbyterian Church. They meet every Sunday at 4pm in Butler Community Centre, Kingsbridge Boulevard… and they would love you to drop in and fellowship with them! You can find out more details on their website here.
Please pray for the church, and for the region here, that the light of the gospel would shine brightly to the glory of God.
2) engage w/
engage w/ is our platform for tackling topics that are essential to the Christian life, but tend to be overlooked by churches (for some reason)…. so they end up being treated as “assumed knowledge”. The problem there is that once we get to the point of assuming everybody already knows this stuff, we stop talking about it and explaining it… until eventually we end up in the situation where nobody’s real sure anymore what it’s about.
engage w/ is our initiative to bring those things out into the open, so that we can engage with them properly, and thrive in our Christian growth for having done so.
engage w/ is an informal, interactive teaching format, targeted at medium-large group settings (e.g. whole church). We are currently developing four different series, and are happy to make the content available to other gospel workers, or to lead series for you.

3) equip
equip is our platform of resources and thinking for church teaching days, and specifically around how churches can pursue the call in Ephesians 4:11ff –
Ephesians 4 11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
equip is designed for a casual, interactive teaching format, targeted at small-medium group settings (e.g. 10-50 people). We are currently developing a base series of 4 equip sessions, and are happy to make the slides available to other gospel workers, or to lead equip sessions for your church.
